Topics will include: 2024 Summer Camps, MIND- mental health intervention and diversion, disaster perspectives through immigration/cultural themes, and general storytelling.

KVLU invites the public to a live recording for the Bayoulands podcast. KVLU Station Manager Jason Miller will lead a conversation with Patrick Patterson and Uliana Trylowsky inspired by an exhibition of Patrick's photographs documenting the war in Ukraine, which will be on view at the Dishman Art Museum.

A Spindletop Live Experience Powered by Pepsi

Turtle on a Post: Memoirs of Carl Parker with Jim Sanderson

LU Writer-in-Residence Dr. Jim Sanderson will talk about his work with Carl Parker in writing his memoirs Turtle on a Post. Parker (1934-2024) was born in Port Arthur and served 33 years (1962-1995) in the Texas Legislature. Sanderson is an award-winning author of eight novels and he is also a creative writing teacher. LU Center for Resiliency Continues Disaster Backpack Distributions on Wednesdays
Finish out hurricane season by preparing with the LU Center for Resiliency Smartstorm disaster training and receive a backpack complete with emergency supplies to assist you and your family in the event of a disaster.
