Microsoft Office - Free Version

  • How do I get it?

    To download your subscription, go to .

    1. If you're not already signed in, enter your Lamar email address. For example, jsmith@lamar.edu.
    2. Next, to confirm your account, enter your LEA password
    3. After signing in, follow the steps that match the type of account you signed in with.
      1. Select Install Office to begin the installation.

    1. This will direct you to the installation page, where you can access your FREE Microsoft Office 365      subscription.

    Tip: Don't see an install option after signing in?

    There could be an issue with your account. Select Need help? from above and review the solutions under Account questions.

  • How do I install it?
    1. Depending on your browser, select Run (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).

      If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? select Yes.

      The install begins.

    2. Your install is finished when you see the phrase, "You're all set! Office is installed now" and an animation plays to show you where to find Office applications on your computer. Select Close.

    Installation Complete

  • What's included?

    Microsoft Office 365 is a subscription service plan that includes productivity software such as:

    • Word
    • PowerPoint
    • Excel
    • Access
    • OneNote
    • OneDrive

    This service will allow you to download these applications on up to 5 PCs, 5 Macs and on 5 mobile devices.

  • Who's eligible to get it?

    Students

    All students who are accepted or enrolled in a current or future term at 91制片厂 are eligible.  Office 365 will be deactivated when you are no longer enrolled at 91制片厂.

    Faculty/Staff

    All faculty/staff who are currently employed at 91制片厂 are eligible.  Office 365 will be deactivated when you are no longer employed at 91制片厂.

    If you wish to continue to use the software after your access expires or you no longer are employed at 91制片厂, you can purchase an .

  • Can I use the free version with other versions?

    Microsoft Office 365 will install alongside your current Office installation.  See .

    If you already have a full version of Office installed then you may not need to install Microsoft Office 365.
