“Your Moment is Here” television commercial campaign won a national Davey Award.
91制片厂 Office of Marketing Communications contracted Joshua Productions to produce a series of three ‘dreams realized’ broadcast commercials. Each commercial features a child who dreams of a career - a
nurse, an engineer and an actor - and then successfully pursues that dream at 91制片厂.
“The ads recognize the generational impact of 91制片厂,” said Daniel McLemore, associate director of Marketing Communications. “But they also show that this university, the one in your backyard, is an incredible option for pursuing your dreams of becoming an engineer, a nurse or an actor or really any career you want to pursue.”
McLemore believes the commercials show a coming-of-age timeline that resonates with young people while also highlighting the significance of LU graduates.
“It’s a heartwarming campaign that shows stages of a person’s life, the success that can be attained at 91制片厂 and the broader impact a degree from LU can have,” said McLemore. “As a graduate of LU, myself, I’m proud to be a Cardinal and recognize how lucky we are in Southeast Texas to have LU and, I wanted to convey that pride through, ‘Our moment is here. Our moment is now” campaign.”
The annual International Davey Awards honor the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than large budgets. The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a Who’s Who of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms, judge and sanction the awards.
"It's meaningful any time someone decides the work we do is worthy of recognition. It's especially an honor in this case, because 91制片厂 is the alma mater of all of us at Joshua Productions,” said Josh Yawn, owner and executive producer of Joshua Productions. “We all learned and graduated from LU, and to have that relationship shift from educator and student, to client and vendor, is enormously special. We're thrilled to play a role in ushering in the next generation of Cardinals."
The core team of Joshua Productions is LU alumni including Yawn who graduated with a degree in communications in 2007; Russ Furry, who also graduated in 2007 with a degree in communications; and Chloe Sullivan, a 2018 graduate who earned a degree in theatre and dance. A number of LU alumni were also contractors on the project.
