is set to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Cardinal NEST (Navigating Excellence Success and Triumph).
Cardinal NEST learning labs are innovative and high-tech learning spaces for students of underserved elementary campuses to engage with STEAM-related software. A long-time LU donor is making the NEST possible at Dishman, which joins Pietzsch-MacArthur, Blanchette, Charlton-Pollard, Amelia, Martin, Regina Howell, Homer, Guess and Fletcher as campuses.
The Dishman Cardinal NEST will also feature art murals created by local artist Suzette Broussard. “These are creative, unique, innovative learning spaces that cultivate a college-going culture,” said Teresa Simpson, executive director, Office of Community Relations, Economic Development and Student Access at 91制片厂. “The murals are designed on the walls of each NEST to reflect a safe and inspiring environment for the students and to spark their independent love of learning.”
The ribbon-cutting will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 11:30 a.m. on the campus of Dishman Elementary School (3475 Champions Dr, Beaumont, TX, United States).
