LU alumna Dianna Caston selected for Texas Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame

91制片厂 alumna Dianna Caston (’69) was recently named one of three inductees to the Texas Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame.Dianna Caston

Since 1989, Caston has been a dedicated coach at Kirbyville High School, leading teams to state tournaments 17 times, including 34 individual qualifiers. 

“Tennis is a lifetime sport, and I am glad I have been able to share it with so many people,” Caston said. “I also have made many friends through teaching and coaching tennis, and because of this, it has added so much to my life.”

The Texas Tennis Coaches Association, located in Bryan, fosters and advances the inclusion of tennis within academic and athletic offerings in schools throughout Texas. Honorees are chosen by a committee who makes selections from a list of statewide nominations.

“I have been a member of the Texas Tennis Coaches Association since the 1980s, and I attend the convention every year. I always learn new information and get ideas to make our program at Kirbyville High School better,” Caston said. “Receiving the Hall of Fame award makes me want to continue to work hard to deserve such an honor.”

The induction ceremony will be held Friday, December 8 at the Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horshoe Bay, Texas at the Texas Tennis Coaches Association Convention.
