Bryan Proksch, associate professor of music at 91制片厂, has edited a new book of writings by famed composer John Philip Sousa. Published through Gia Publications, the collection of newspaper articles, letters, and interviews by Sousa and his contemporaries give us a greater understanding of this iconic figure in American music.An American composer and conductor nicknamed 鈥淭he March King,鈥� Sousa (1854-1932) was known primarily for military and patriotic marches.
